Baby allergies
These days various kinds of allergies are severely on the rise. When the immune system of a human body overreacts on contact with a harmless substance called allergen and attacks it with antibody, allergic reaction occurs. This leads to formation of rashes on the skin, swallowing and itching of the skin. Allergy may occur to different person from different kind of things. It may be from dust, perfume, various smell, food, chemical, pollens, pets’ hair etc. In babies food allergy mainly occur from milk and egg.
The most common form of allergy in babies is asthma or eczema. Asthma is a very frightening disease both for the child as well as the parents. Asthma occurs due to allergic reactions taking place in the respiratory tract. The allergic reaction swells the air tracts thus making breathing difficult for the child. It may occur from a cold virus. Asthmatic allergy can occur from dust. Thus by regularly vacuuming the house and the place where the baby stays, we may keep away asthma. It may occur from cigarette smoke, smoking should be a strict no in front of a child.
Strong air or room fresheners can cause asthma, so it’s better not to use them and families should not keep pets where the kids suffer from asthma. Eczema is another important form of allergy. It may be of two types, infantile seborrheic eczema occurring in almost all infants below twelve months of age and the atopic eczema. The first one is a greasy scaly rash and the second one makes the skin dry and inflamed.
